Most Popular Questions

  • How Comfy is the Eyeliner Tattoo?
  • Do you use single-use sterilized needles?

ABSOLUTELY! Your safety is VERY important to me. While working as a Certified Dental Assistant for 2 years, it is very important to understand the proper steps to reduce risk of blood borne pathogens. I know how to properly sanitize, disinfect and sterilize my tools and working area. A new individually packaged cartridge needle will be opened in front of you so you know what we’re using is one-time use only. After each appointment, all sundries (gauze, cotton swabs etc.) will be disposed of and any equipment used will be properly sanitized and sterilized using medical grade solutions. All CRITICAL items such as sharps will be disposed properly into a sharps box. My humble studio is always kept neat and tidy and can calm you from the moment you step in! You’re in good hands :)

  • Does Eyeliner Tattoo hurt?

Great question! I make it my mission to make sure you are ABSOLUTELY relaxed during the session. Most of my clients are VERY surprised at how comfy the entire process is. Imagine of the idea of a gentle sprinkling of colour on your eyeliner and that’s pretty much what I do on the area. Most of them rate it a 1 to 2/10 discomfort level (that’s LOW), more like a tickle and some even feel nothing. Your comfort is number one. We will be using high-quality numbing cream before and during the eyeliner tattoo process to make the session smooth for you. Everyone has different pain tolerance and some people are more sensitive than others. With that being said, most people wished they had done it sooner because it was WAY better than they thought.

  • What is the difference between the Everyday Lash Eyeliner and Classic Winged Eyeliner?

The Everyday Lash Eyeliner is a subtle lash enhancement tattoo - basically we colour the area where your lashes are so they appear slightly fuller and eyes look brighter without the "morning tired look". It is very natural looking and not too obvious so perfect for men as well! If you have people commenting that you look tired but you are not, then Everyday Lash Eyeliner might be a good option for you. *No tail/flick here*

The Classic Winged Eyeliner is a visible, slightly thicker and bolder eyeliner. If you’re someone that enjoys the visible eyeliner with a tail / flick look but dislike when it runs or smudge, then this is for you! I would highly recommend opting for the 6-8 weeks touch up as well to perfect these babies (fill in any gaps and add another layer to make it look more bold)! :)

  • Can you do a MEGA THICK eyeliner?

I’m comfortable with staying in the natural realm because trends can come and go. I want to keep things gentle and timeless for you so I prefer to stay modest and create an eyeliner look that will still look natural in a few years :) The answer to that is no to mega thick.

  • Can you help me choose which eyeliner tattoo will look good on me?

My style of work is more on the natural end. If you’re unsure of what to get, I’d recommend to start with the Everyday Lash Eyeliner first. It works well on pretty much everyone - even MEN (yes, I do it on guys too!)! It is a great “beginner” lash enhancement look that makes your eyes look more awake and brighter in the mornings without the look of makeup. This Everyday Lash Liner is subtle and helps fill in the gaps between the lashes so it will result in slightly fuller looking lashes too!

If you realize Everyday Lash Eyeliner is “too natural" after they heal and you want more, you can upgrade to Classic Winged Eyeliner next time you come in (upgrade touch up pricing will apply).

If you’re looking for a more makeup look, come in with your liner filled in the way you usually do it or show me some photos of what you would like to achieve and we can work together to customize the liner.

  • How long does my Eyeliner Tattoo last?

It will vary between person to person based on body chemistry and how well you take care of it. Sun exposure and smoking is a major cause that can shorten the lifespan of your tattoo. I highly recommend that you follow the detailed aftercare instructions on how to properly heal and maintain your tattoo. Overall, you can expect it to last anywhere from 1-3 years before a touch up refresher is needed.

  • How long is the Eyeliner Tattoo session?

The initial Eyeliner Tattoo session is approximately 1.5-2 hours. This includes the consultation, numbing, design, actual sprinkling of colour on the eyeline area and plenty of fun with me. If you opt for the 6-8 weeks touch up (highly recommended), it will be faster because we already have the shape from the initial session :)

  • How do I care for my new Eyeliner Tattoo?

It’s pretty simple. Try your best to avoid water, sweat, or anything to the eyeliner EXCEPT the ointment that I will be giving you. Also, keep the eyeliner away from the direct sun during the healing stage (approximately 5-10 days) - you can wear sunglasses when you go out. It’ll be tempting so DO NOT scratch your eyeliner off - let it heal properly. You will be getting thorough After Care information to take home.

  • How often do I need a touch up?

The Eyeliner Tattoo is per session basis because most people are happy with the natural result from just the one session. Everyone will heal differently depending on their body. If you like the makeup look and want your eyeliner to be more visible to the eye, I do recommend going for the 6-8 weeks touch up as most people like “more” after they heal. The eyeliner tattoo area will look more bold and dense with each session. Otherwise, I recommend a touch up refresher every 1-3 years to maintain good shape and colour! Please refer to the pricing page for more details.

  • How's the Healing Process?

    Eyeliner Healing Process

    DAY 1
Eyeliner area will be slightly tender after treatment, you will notice they might be little red and maybe puffy. It is normal. You can do some blinking exercise to reduce the puffiness. Apply given ointment daily for 10 days.

    DAY 2 - 4
Eyeliner area is noticeably darker than previous day. This is normal as your body is trying to push pigment out and it oxides. Expect itchiness as your eyeliner are healing - most people don’t feel much. You can still socialize and go to work.

    DAY 5 - 10
You’ll notice your eyeliner area will begin to flake gently. The colour underneath is a lot lighter than what you had previous days - maybe even invisible like there is nothing there at all as it will take a few weeks for the colour to come back out. Allow your eyeliner to naturally flake off and avoid picking the area.

    Week 4
The eyeliner is completely healed. If you find that you can go darker or denser with the eyeliner tattoo, come back for a touch up to boost it up!

    **Results will vary**

  • What do I need to prepare before the session?

Feel free to come in with your eyeliner filled in so I have an idea of how you usually do it. If you like a certain eyeliner shape, bring in a photo to show me and we can discuss what can be done. Ultimately, we’d like to aim for something natural and timeless for you!

No eye contacts, bring glasses if you need them!
No heavy makeup / shadow in the area.
    No eyelash extensions
No eyelash serum for at least 3 weeks
Avoid taking any blood thinners (aspirin, vitamin E, ibuprofen and fish oil supplements) 72 hours before coming in.
Do not consume alcohol or coffee before or day of session
If you used Accutane, you'll have to be off that for 6 months before coming in
Avoid sun tanning 2 weeks before and after your procedure
Get some good sleep in the night before :)

  • Can I bring a friend to the appointment?

No. My studio is very humble and can only fit just you comfortably. An extra person in the room can be very distracting for me, I would love to just focus all my energy and perfect your eyebrows! Your friend can set an appointment and come next time if she would like to get her eyebrows done with me :)
