Ready for anything, AM to PM
Eyeliner tattoos bring out your personality through your eyes, helping them stand out and look bright even with no makeup on. You can go for a natural, classic eyeliner look or bold with a more dramatic wing—whatever suits your style.
And, they’re easy to maintain: no smudging, even in hot weather or during workouts, which means you can keep your eyes looking fresh and awake even on the hottest day of the year…and when that tearjerker movie comes on.
01
During our initial session, we'll discuss what you're looking for and what shape will work best for your eyes and lifestyle. Do you want to simply want to make your lashes look fuller or are you looking for something more dramatic?
02
Once everything is set, we'll start the tattooing process. That's when we'll apply numbing cream so you're as comfortable and pain-free as possible, throughout the entire experience. Most people are happy to report it feels just like a tickle!
03
You'll love your new liner, and wake up looking fresh every day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Great question! We make it our mission to make sure you’re fully relaxed during your session. Most clients are very surprised at how comfortable the entire process is. When asked, most rate it a 1 to 2 out of 10 discomfort level, like a tickle. The extra-lucky ones feel nothing.
We use high-quality numbing cream before and during the eyeliner tattoo process to make the session smooth for you. Everyone has a different pain tolerance and some people are more sensitive than others. With that being said, most clients say they wish they had done it sooner because the process ended up being more comfortable than they thought it would be.
-
Yes. Your eyes are closed during the entire tattooing procedure and we use special hand techniques to make sure you feel extra safe and secure during the tattooing process. Surprisingly, some people do feel comfortable enough to sleep.
-
Yes, yes, and YES. I've worked as a Certified Dental Assistant for two years (learn more about me here) and learned the proper steps to keep your experience clean, tidy, and safe.
At Beauty Tattooist, we properly sanitize, disinfect, and sterilize all tools and working areas to reduce the risk of blood borne pathogens, keeping your safety and comfort in mind at every step of our appointment together. When you come in, a new individually packaged needle will be opened in front of you so you know what we’re using is one-time use only. After each appointment, all sundries (gauze, cotton swabs etc.) will be disposed of and any equipment used will be properly sanitized and sterilized using medical grade solutions. All medical waste items such as sharps (blades) will be disposed of properly into a sharps container.
We hope to bring a sense of calm to your day while we craft your perfect eyeliner tattoo! You’re in good hands.

Great question! In the past, some eyeliner techniques led to unwanted blue color due to deeper pigment implantation into the skin. The fantastic news is that the technique I use focuses on a more lighter and superficial application with high quality pigments, so your eyeliner retains a beautiful, natural look without looking blue. You can confidently achieve the perfect eyeliner you’ve always wanted!

The Everyday Lash Eyeliner is a subtle lash enhancement tattoo. Basically, we colour the area where your lashes are so they appear slightly fuller and eyes look brighter even if you’ve just woken up. It’s very natural-looking and not too obvious (we don’t add any tail or flick), which makes it great for men as well. If you have people commenting that you look tired even when you’re not, then the Everyday Lash Eyeliner might be a good option for you.
The Classic Winged Eyeliner is a visible, slightly thicker and bolder eyeliner. If you’re someone that enjoys visible eyeliner with a tail/flick look, but aren’t a fan of the high-maintenance when it runs or smudges, then this is for you. We highly recommend opting for the 6-8 week touch up as well to perfect these babies by filling in any gaps and adding another layer for maximum effect.

The answer is no, and here’s why: We’re most comfortable staying in the natural realm because trends come and go. Our approach is “super/natural”: a more polished you, yet still timeless enough so that it still feels good for any occasion. Remember, this is a tattoo, so until it fades (which could take a few years), it stays with you. If you want to amp up your look, you can always wear more makeup for extra drama.
-
We approach our work with the philosophy of “super/natural”, which means we work on the more natural-looking end of the spectrum while still giving you that bolder and polished look you’re going for.
If you’re unsure of what to get, we recommend starting with the Everyday Lash Eyeliner first. It works on almost everyone, even men (yes, really!). It’s a great “beginner” lash enhancement look that makes your eyes look brighter and more awake in the mornings without the look of makeup. It’s subtle and helps fill in gaps between the lashes so you’ll have slightly fuller-looking lashes too.
If you realize the Everyday Lash Eyeliner is too natural after it heals and you want more, you can upgrade to the Classic Winged Eyeliner next time you come in (upgrade touch up pricing will apply).
Tip: If you’re looking to emulate the look of makeup without having to put it on every day, come in with your liner filled in the way you usually do it or bring in photos of what you would like to achieve and we can work together to customize your liner.

You can expect your eyeliner to last anywhere from 1-3 years, however that will vary from person-to-person based on your body chemistry and how well you take care of your eyeliner. Sun exposure and smoking can shorten the lifespan of your eyeliner tattoo.
To make sure your tattoo lasts as long as possible, follow the detailed aftercare instructions we’ll provide on how to maintain your eyeliner tattoo.
-
The initial eyeliner tattoo session is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. This includes the consultation, numbing, design, actual sprinkling of colour on the eyeline area and plenty of fun together.
If you opt for the 6-8 week touch-up (highly recommended), that session will fly by faster because we already have the shape designed from your initial session.
-
You’ll be getting thorough aftercare instructions to take home, but it’s pretty simple.
Try your best to avoid water, sweat, or adding anything to the eyeline area except the ointment you’ll be receiving.
Keep the eyeliner out of direct sun during the healing stage (approximately 5-10 days), which means sunglasses are a must when heading outside.
It’ll be tempting but do not scratch your eyeliner off—let it heal properly.
-
The eyeliner tattoo is on a per session basis because most people are happy with the results from just one session. However, everyone will heal differently depending on their body. If you like the makeup look and want your eyeliner to be more visible, you can opt for the 6-8 week touch-up as some clients want “more” after they’ve seen how their liner heals, and the eyeliner tattoo will look more bold and dense with each session. Otherwise, we recommend a touch-up refresher every 1-3 years to maintain good shape and colour.

Day 1
Your eyeliner area will be slightly tender after treatment, and you may notice that they’ll be a little red and puffy. That’s normal—you can do some blinking exercises to reduce the puffiness. Make sure you apply given ointment daily for 10 days.
Day 2-4
Your eyeliner area is noticeably darker than on day 1. This is normal as your body is trying to push pigment out, which oxidizes. Though most people don’t feel much, you can expect slight itchiness as your eyeliner is healing. You can still socialize and go to work.
Day 5-10
Your eyeliner area will begin to flake gently. The colour underneath is a lot lighter than what you had on previous days. It might even look invisible, like there’s no pigment at all. That’s because it will take a few weeks for the colour to resurface. Allow your eyeliner to naturally flake off and avoid picking the area.
Week 4
Fast forward to week four, and your eyeliner is completely healed now. If you find that you’d like to go even darker or denser with your eyeliner tattoo, book a touch-up session to boost it up!
**Results will vary**

Feel free to come in with your eyeliner filled in so we have an idea of how you usually do it. If you like a certain eyeliner shape, bring in a reference photo. Ultimately, we’d like to aim for something natural and timeless for you.
